GM SA-36

A tough austenitic low heat input super alloy for wear resistant overlay and build-up on steels particularly austenitic manganese steel. Deposits are extremely tough and work harden under repeated pounding / impulsive loads and exhibit high resistance to deformation. High yield strength of alloy together with high impact toughness makes the electrode ideally suited for heavy build-up and cushioning of manganese and alloy steels prior to capping with harder abrasion resistant deposits.
