Applications:
- AISI 316, 309 Mo, 309 grade steels.
- Joining SS (316 type) to low alloy or carbon steels.
- Deposition of buffer layer on carbon steel or low alloy steels before deposition of 316 type of weld metals.
Description
Basic coated stainless steel electrode depositing 24 Cr-12 Ni – 2.5 Mo which has excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures up to 11000C. The high alloy content and ferrite level enable the weld metal to tolerate dilution from base metal and difficult to weld materials without hot cracking or brittle structures.
