GM 309 MO (E 309 Mo-16)
Applications:
- Joining of 309 Mo, 316 type stainless steel.
- Joining SS (316 type) to low alloy steels or carbon steels.
- Deposition of buffer layer on carbon steel or low alloy steels before deposition of 316 type of weld metals.
Description
An electrode to deposit 23 Cr-12 Ni – 2.5 Mo which has excellent corrosion resistance. The weld metal is of radiographic quality. Low spatter, smooth bead and stable arc. The slag is easily controlled and does not interfere with the arc action especially suitable for joining of 309 Mo, 316 type stainless steels and SS 316 type stainless steel to low alloy steel or carbon steels.
